tying my shoes...

one thing i hate is tying my shoes. okay, hate is a four-letter word, and i shouldn't use it. but after you tie your shoes once, shouldn't they stay tied? i don't like having to bend down and tie them again especially after they are all dirty and i've stepped on the laces in the rain, snow or mud. couldn't someone invent some type of velcro related material that works for shoes that have to have laces.

i know this must happen to others and i couldn't believe that no one had came up with a solution to this problem. but then i found them.

yankz. i got them at the running store, and after using them for a few days, i found what seems to be a very promising product. they are awesome and specifically made for running races. the lovely thing is that they are tight enough to keep your sneakers on your feet, but at the same time allow you to slide them off without having to reach down and untie every time. sweet.

i bought mine in reflector color so you could see them when i run in the dark.

today was not a good day, i really didn't feel like exercising at all. i ran on the treadmill for 45 minutes and just did a couple of weights.

for breakfast i had goetta (3 pieces) made from steel cut oats
for lunch i had a club sandwich at paradise bakery and half of an oriental salad with no chicken and light dressing
for dinner i made risotto (1/2 cup), chicken romano (4 ounces), and lemon broccoli (1 head) with garlic
1 orange
i drank 110 ounces today

Love the Yankz. We use them in triathlons. I think they should make kids shoes with them as standard.
