i can't give you the recipe...

i had this at a party the other day. it was so fresh and yummy, and very different from your usual salsas. after dinner i asked for the recipe and i was told they couldn't give it out because they were sworn to secrecy in their family. i was so sad because it was so yummy. and so the quest started, to recreate the recipe.

if you don't know this about me, i'm always up for a challenge, and i hate when people won't share their recipes. my great grandmother and grandfather owned a grocery store and made homemade candies at their candy store and shared all their recipes. they loved sharing everything, food, friends, and good times, and i have continued the habit. to me there is nothing more frustrating than trying something, loving it, and then wanting to make it again at home only to find that it doesn't quite taste the same.

in my former life...a.k.a. business life, i had A LOT of people copy me all the time, but like they say, "imitation is the most sincere form of flattery". so i don't understand why people don't want to share their yummy recipes. i've decided to take matters into my own hands, and i've come up with a new rule. if you won't share your recipe then every time i crave it you have to make it for me. i think that's only fair!

p.s.-don't ask me for THIS recipe it's top secret.

You don't know me, but I found your blog while looking for a picture on google of the kind of salsa I make. And looking at your picture, I can bet I have your recipe! If you are still looking for it, please check out my blog tomorrow and try my recipe. If this is it, let me know! Meanwhile, I hope you don't mind if I steal your picture.
